FAQ

!) Do you use lye when making your soap?

Absolutely! In fact, you cannot make true soap without lye. But don't worry. This isn't your great grandmother's lye soap. Now we have calculators that tell us exactly how much lye to add based on the amount and types of fats (oils and butters) used in our recipes. Each fat or butter will need a certain amount of lye to "saponify", or chemically change, to what we know as soap. There is no lye left in properly saponified soap.

2) Do you use fragrance oils or essential oils to scent your soaps?

I use both depending on the scent or blend of scents that I want to achieve. All of my scents are phthalate free and sourced from reputable manufacturers here in the USA.

3) Are your products gluten free?

While that may seem like a strange question since my products are not designed to be eaten but there are some people that are so allergic to gluten that even skin contact can have adverse consequences. I cannot certify that my products are gluten free and recommend doing a patch test if you suspect that you may have an allergy to any of my products or their ingredients.

4) What is the best way to store your products?

Storing products in a cool, dry, dark place such as a drawer or closet will protect from sun fading and and temperature extremes.

Once you are using a bar of soap, let dry completely between baths or showers by placing on a self-draining soap dish. This will result in extending the life of your soap bar.

5) What is the shelf life of your soaps?

Between 12 to 18 months, although the scent may begin to fade, especially if not stored properly, before that time. Soap bars will still clean and lather well, even after years,  but may not smell as strong as when first purchased.

6 ) Why doesn't my soap look like the bar in the picture?

Each batch of soap is hand poured and there can be variation between each bar, even with the same batch. The soap batter is rather fluid, and the colors mix and shift causing beautiful swirls of blended colors. Each bar will be unique in coloring and pattern.

7) Do you ship outside the United States?

Not at this time

8) How do you ship?

I primarily use USPS and package very carefully to avoid any shifting/damage. Should you receive a damaged shipment, please take a photo of the package and the damaged product and contact me immediately.

A tracking number is sent to your email as soon as a label is generated. We ship daily and will notify you if there is a delay in your order. Orders are processed in the order they are received with most orders shipping within 48 hrs. or less, not including weekends and major holidays.

9) Do you make custom orders?

While I will not make just one bar of a soap that I do not carry, I will consider adding it to the line of products if enough people request the same scent or type of scent.

While I do make custom gift baskets and party sets (bridal shower, birthday party, etc) there is extra delivery time involved. I work closely with the customer to make sure that your gift or set will be exactly what you want it to be. We can communicate through email, text, or phone call to make your vision a reality.

10) Do you accept returns?

Due to hygiene issues, we cannot accept returns for these products. If you would like to try our our products before making a full commitment, please consider a sample size or package.

11) Do you offer wholesale prices?

If you would like to receive information about carrying our products in your store, please send us an email.
